Destiny Community School is proud to have an active student council. Student council is made up of 2 class representatives from each classroom 3 - 8 grades and a fundraiser committee. Leading student council are the elected officers; President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Advisors Mrs. Day, Mrs. Hathcock, and Mr. Humay.
They meet in the art room every Thursday at 2:30 pm. The Student council is responsible for positively impacting our school and our community by planning school wide activities and special events to build and maintain school spirit, and community service.



 

Student Council Activities include…

  • Box Tops for Education Collecting

  • Spirit Week

  • Special Fundraisers

  • School Float in Gilbert Days

  • Canned Food Drive

  • Pennies for Cancer

  • School Dance/Party

  • and many more

 

Goals emphasized include; learning about student government procedures, developing and fostering school spirit, and promoting good character.

Send your friends this Valentine’s a Candy Gram. Student Council will be selling Candy Grams for .25cents each or 10 for $2.00 thru February 10, 2010. You may fill out the attached form Valentine's Candy Gram.docx or purchase these grams from the Spirit Store. The Spirit Store is open Monday’s from 2:30 – 3:00pm and Friday’s from 1:00 – 1:30pm.

Student Council Spirit Store 

 

Students can purchase school supplies (pencils,

 

erasers, pens, notepads, etc...) and holiday items. On

 

Friday's the Student Store will have special treats.

 

Prices Vary from .25cents to $5.00

 

Store hours are

 

Monday's 2:30 – 3:00pm & Fridays

 

1:00- 1:30pm.

 

Friday February 5, 2010, Special Treat is World's Finest Chocolate Bars for $1.00

 

All proceeds are put back into student activities planned by student council. Thank you for your support.

 
Student Council will be collecting Box Tops for Education from each classroom on Thursday's. The Classroom with the most Box Tops Each Month will recieve a special party.
